Results of comprehensive testing in 2014 now available to customers online

Rowland Water District has released its 2014 Consumer Confidence Report, which compares District drinking water quality to state and federal standards based on testing conducted by the District during 2014.  The report can be found conveniently online at www.rwd.org or at the District headquarters.

Rowland Water is dedicated to providing its customers with reliable, high quality water, and to keeping customers informed about the quality of water they drink. The 2014 Annual Water Quality Report describes the quality of District water in detail, while also providing information about mandatory water use restrictions and current infrastructure projects and their impacts on customers.

“We take our commitment to local families and businesses very seriously,” said Rowland Water General Manager Tom Coleman. “As customers reviewing this report can see, testing shows that we currently meet or exceed all state and federal water quality standards.”

In addition to providing safe water, the District is moving toward reducing its reliability on unpredictable imported water deliveries from Northern California, which have been impacted by the State’s historic drought.  Rowland Water continues to prioritize the diversification of its water supply and in 2014 introduced the first local groundwater supply into its portfolio through a collaborative agreement with La Habra Heights County Water District and Orchard Dale Water District.

“From pursuing alternative supplies and investing in recycled water projects to improving the efficiency of its existing operations, the District is hard at work responding to recent, unprecedented drought conditions,” said Rowland Water Board President Szu Pei Lu-Yang. “The 62,000 people we serve can continue to count on the District for dependable, high quality water service, as they have for the past 60 years.”
