RWD must notify you by newspaper or hand-delivery if your water does not meet USEPA or SWRCB standards, or if there is a waterborne disease emergency. The notice will describe any precautions you need to take, such as using store bought water or boiling water. If a public notice is published and distributed regarding your drinking water, be sure to carefully read and follow the instructions.
