(Rowland Heights, CA, October 18, 2012) –Rowland Water District Board of Directors will join the hundreds parading down the streets in this year’s Buckboard Days Parade. The District has been a part of this long-standing community celebration for more than 20 years. The District’s Board President Anthony J. Lima, Vice President Szu Pei Lu- Yang, and Directors Robert W. Lewis, John E. Bellah and Teresa P. Rios will participate in the parade alongside District employees.

Rowland Heights Chinese Association, its surrounding organizations and nearby cities will host this year’s parade on Saturday, October 20th. The parade begins at 9 a.m. on Nogales Street, near Colima Road. The theme of this year’s parade is “A Diverse Community United in Service,” and will recognize the multitude of role models within the community. Throughout the parade, local schools, youth groups, bands and organizations will be honored. The festivities will continue with live performances, face painting, games and more at an event following the parade at Rowland Heights Community Park.
