Deputy Louis Denver-Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station

Deputy Louis Denver has been a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for the past 20 years. Deputy Denver’s law enforcement career began with the Tustin Police Department, where he served as a reserve police officer. In 1995 he graduated from the Sheriff’s academy and was hired by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. His first assignment was at Men’s Central Jail, and first patrol assignment was at the Temple Sheriff’s Station. He then transferred to the Industry Sheriff’s Station and after being promoted to Field Training Officer, Deputy Denver transferred to the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station. He served in this capacity in Rowland Heights where he trained deputies in various aspects of patrol.

In 2012, due to his success addressing public safety issues, Deputy Denver was assigned as the Community Relations Deputy for Rowland Heights. He spearheaded projects to get the community more involved including establishing Neighborhood Watch groups. He researched and wrote informational pamphlets on disaster preparedness, earthquake survival, crime prevention, email/phone scams, metal theft, and drug awareness guides for parents and a guide for business security. He taught community classes for mature drivers, peer support, drugs, gangs, bully prevention, and classes on American law enforcement and crime prevention for new immigrants. Deputy Denver partnered with the Rowland Unified School District and businesses to establish “Shop with a Cop” program for families in need, including a holiday dinner at a local restaurant.

Deputy Denver is married and has three children and one grandson. During his free time he enjoys travelling to National Parks, off-roading, hunting, camping and canoeing.
