CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK AT ROWLAND WATER DISTRICT
RECOGNIZES RATE-PAYERS
‘2020 Dream Team’ Theme
Emphasizes Excellence in Covid-19 Era Consumer Engagement

October 5, 2020– Rowland Water District is again a proud participant in Customer Service Week, taking place October 5-9, 2020. Each year, thousands of companies across the United States and around the world take part in this celebration, which allows organizations of all types to recognize the job that their customer service professionals do 52 weeks a year. This year’s theme is “Dream Team 2020”

“The impact of events affecting the world today has changed the way in which organizations and their employees engage with customers,” explains Rowland Water General Manager Tom Coleman. “Even though we will not be engaging as we have in the past with our wonderful customers this time around, we are always available to them, either over the phone or via social media. Our customers are the fabric of our work and this week gives us a great opportunity to recognize them.”

This week, customers can visit our website and fill out a water conservation survey, which will serve as their entry in a drawing for a smart irrigation controller. One lucky winner will be chosen at the conclusion of the week. The controller serves as a smart thermostat for a garden or yard, helping the customer save time and money by automating their yard maintenance.

For more than 40 years, the Customer Service Group has sponsored Customer Service Week. This year’s theme “2020 Dream Team” is illustrated in red, blue and gold and reflects the importance of teamwork in an organization. The first full business week of each October is celebrated by many industries in the United States and around the world.

“We understand that the customer experience in 2020 has been like no other, and this event gets the message across that excellent customer service is a critical component in not only running a successful public agency, but in keeping the customer satisfied,” Coleman adds.
