Agency of The YearRWD is active in increasing community awareness on water reuse and recycled water standards and policies. Recycled water is a resource with great conservation and cost saving potential.  RWD’s Recycled Water Use Master Plan is a blueprint for increasing and diversifying recycled water use for the future. Investment in recycled water use reduces the demand on potable water and keeps essential resources protected for everyone.

The District’s conscious efforts to conserve water have been recognized by the WateReuse Association’s California Section and it has been  named “Recycled Water Small Agency of the Year.” This award reaffirms the District’s efforts as an agency to be as efficient with our natural resources as possible. Recycled water use is an important part of maintaining a high level of service and preserving water for future generations.
