Rowland Water District (RWD) is bringing the block party to the parade route as they join residents and businesses in the community for the 43rd annual Buckboard Days Parade.  On Saturday, October 17 beginning at 9:00 AM, youth groups, bands and floats will roll down the street as “Good Neighbors, Good Friends.”  This will be The District’s 24th year participating in the parade as part of their long time tradition of helping to bring the community together.

“This year’s theme is especially important to The District,” says RWD Board President Szu Pei Lu-Yang.  “We work hard all year to unite the community through water conservation efforts and this event really shows neighbors coming together as good friends to celebrate with those efforts in common.”

Rowland Water District prides itself on the hard work it puts into encouraging the community to use our water supply wisely.  Organizations like RWD are what make the Buckboard Days Parade and Festival a huge success year after year.   Parade attendees will have a chance to meet RWD team members, learn more about important water conservation resources and obtain some great water saving giveaways.

“We hope all of our customers come out to see the parade and participate in the festival,” says RWD General Manager Tom Coleman.  “We enjoy serving the community and this annual event is our chance to meet the neighbors we provide clean, quality water for on a daily basis.”

Since 1953, Rowland Water District has committed itself to providing the highest level of service to its customers.  The Buckboard Days Parade and Festival is an annual tradition they hope to continue for years to come.  The celebration kicks off with a pancake breakfast in the morning and a festival following the parade at Rowland Heights Park.
