Rowland Water District (RWD) is letting nature roll this year as they join residents, businesses and the community in celebrating the 42nd annual Buckboard Days Parade on Saturday, October 18 beginning at 9:00 AM. The District is continuing the tradition of participating in the parade by joining in for the 23rd year in a row.  Szu Pei Lu-Yang, RWD Board President is happy to join with the community in celebrating such a long running event.  “An event like this is something that we are thrilled to take part in.  When an entire community can come together and celebrate year after year, it’s heartwarming and encouraging for everyone,” said Lu-Yang.

The theme for the 42nd Annual Parade takes it back to basics with “Nature in Our Own Backyard” and will showcase members of the community who enjoy participating in the vast amount of outdoor activities that Rowland Heights has to offer.

The Rowland Water District works hard throughout the year to encourage the community to safely and smartly use our water supply. The Buckboard Days Parade and Festival is a great event that demonstrates the importance of community pride, and how year after year people still come to support the hard work and diligence that community organizations like RWD provide in the region.  Since 1953, RWD has prided itself on providing clean quality water to the community and being able to showcase this at this annual event is a tradition they plan to continue for years to come.

“Rowland Water District looks forward each year to participating in the Buckboard Days Parade and being a part of the community we serve,” said Ken Deck, Rowland Water District General Manager.  “We are excited to help continue the celebration and encourage all customers and residents to join us for the parade and festival.”
